Commemorating the second anniversary of the Natural Gas National Control Center (CENAGAS), officials briefed about the advances of the pipelines projects forecasted for 2019. They noted that 78% are already built, in process or signed, amount representing 76% of the total estimated investment.
As well, they reported CENAGAS received from Pemex 9 thousand kilometers of pipelines, turning the agency into a facilitator and carrier of the underground net. Shortly strategic and social projects will be auctioned to move and store natural gas.
Energy Minister, Pedro Joaquín Coldwell, said that “the Center will allow many new operators to move and sell natural gas, so we will pass from a situation having just one company to a multiple market”.
According to Dr. David Madero, CENAGAS general manager, annual investments, estimated over $1 billion pesos, will be used to modernize infrastructure, guarantee optimum operation and propel productivity, investment and employment generation all around the country.
